Can emptiness become tangible? Solid Voids explores the boundary between what truly exists and what we perceive. It plays with the flaws in our own perception. Since our retinas process the world with a slight delay, our brains bridge the gaps in time. In that tiny window between reality and observation, the image reveals itself. A void filled not with matter, but with the memory of light. The installation is composed of four custom-built machines, each featuring arms mounted with high-speed light sources. Guided by sensors and custom software, the system calculates the precise coordinates for every light pulse, manifesting images that resonate with the logic of our perception.
